The F1 cars of the 90s put on a show

To the delight of the spectators, the history of Formula 1 will be presented in many ways during the French Historic GP. In addition to the four races, other legendary F1 cars will take over the Castellet track for demonstration purposes. And not just any F1 cars! Gathered at the invitation of Ignition GP, the structure of the ex Williams F1 test driver Jonathan Kennard, these Formula 1s will be for the majority of them issued from the 1989-1997 period and most of them powered by the so melodious V10 of the time. Ferrari, Williams, Benetton, McLaren, Tyrrell, Jordan…, we are expecting a great crowd on the track, especially as some illustrious former world champions will probably join the party!

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, these F1 cars will perform twice a day. So there’s plenty to enjoy.

Celebrating the history of Alpine with Berlinette Magazine

A player in the F1 French Grand Prix, Alpine will also be honoured a month earlier on the occasion of the French Historic Grand Prix. As part of the centenary of Jean Rédélé’s birth, the creator of Alpine, the glorious sporting past of the French firm and its eternal appeal to the public will be evoked this time.

On the initiative of Berlinette Magazine, whose issue 110 will be on the newsstands at the time of the Grand Prix, all Alpines or Renault sports cars owners are invited to book their weekend of 17, 18 and 19 June at Le Castellet.

110 Alpines or close “cousins” will be on display in the heart of the paddock in the Berlinette Magazine area. In addition, on both Saturday and Sunday, their owners will complete several laps of the Var circuit in a parade led by Alain Serpaggi, who will be back at the wheel of his 1972/73 Alpine F3 for the occasion.

The “retrouvailles” exhibition will also provide an opportunity to admire ten exceptional racing Alpine cars that have made their mark on the history of motor sport, notably at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, while many former drivers, engineers and personalities from the brand will be present to share their memories with enthusiasts.
