Lewis Hamilton wins ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas and Red Bull Racing rider Max Verstappen in the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix, 5th Grand Prix of the season. Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc took fourth and fifth places respectively in this Grand Prix. Pierre Gasly finished in sixth place.

Romain Grosjean finishes in tenth place and scores 1 point. Romain Grosjean expressed his satisfaction: “It was a good weekend, we had a good pace. Before the safety car, we ran alone, it was a good race. The recovery was a little more complicated, it wasn’t ideal for me because I lost a few places. Overall, I am satisfied with the way we acted this weekend, happy that we showed that the car is fast.”

Pierre Gasly continues his progress and finishes sixth in this Spanish Grand Prix, and remains positive for the next Grand Prix: “The first stint went well, but towards the end, I started to fight against grip and degradation. When I restarted after the safety car, I tried to attack Charles, but I couldn’t hold him. In the end, it’s good to score points. Looking to the future, I think we have good potential on some of the upcoming tracks that should be more suitable for our car.”

The Scuderia Ferrari leaves this Spanish Grand Prix with a fourth and fifth place, hoping for better results. Charles Leclerc had a complicated race: “It was a difficult race. The first stint was very positive on my side, but then it became more difficult. I had trouble finding the balance in the second and third stints, and I lost a little confidence in the car. We have a lot of work ahead of us and we will do everything we can to close the gap with the front. We collected a lot of data this weekend and will continue to do so on a trial basis next week.”

Renault F1 Team is not scoring any points this weekend with Daniel Ricciardo finishing 12th and Nico Hülkenberg 13th. Cyril Abiteboul regretted the intervention of the safety car: “The result is clear even if a few points were possible without the safety car: we are out of step with the objectives we had set ourselves. Next week’s tests come at the right time to further evaluate certain areas of the single-seater and important development elements as we define our short- and medium-term action plan to recover from a poor start to the season that does not affect our determination and long-term objectives.”

Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix – his third win this season and his third consecutive in Spain – with the best lap in the race: “It was an incredible day for the team. The team guys on the track are all at an extremely high level. Thank you all. »
