BLUE, WHITE AND RED
In the 1980s, France was particularly well represented in sport. During this period, the French drivers – Alain Prost (4) and René Arnoux (1) – won half of the editions of the Grand Prix de France. In 1982, four Frenchmen finished in the first four places. The Dijon-Prénois circuit last hosted the Grand Prix de France in 1984. The Circuit Paul Ricard organised the race from 1985 to 1990. Prost won the last three Grand Prix de France of this period (1988, 1989, 1990) and three of his four Formula 1 World Champion titles (1985, 1986, 1989).
