As part of its new 2019 mobility plan, the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France is announcing its first collaboration with Waze, the community-based navigation app with 12.5 million users in France. The new partnership, which marks the 60th edition of the race, will enable smoother navigation for spectators and residents to and around Circuit Paul Ricard du Castellet. This will make driving more enjoyable and safer during the event, which runs from June 21st to 23rd 2019.

Customised innovation for smoother traffic

This unique and innovative partnership is part of Formula 1 Grand Prix de France’s 2019 mobility plan and will see the complete and customised integration of traffic data provided by Waze, with innovative features for spectators. This includes:

Waze is a key player in GPS navigation with millions of users in France. This collaboration is definitely one of the major pillars of our new mobility plan for the next Formula 1 Grand Prix de France. I am delighted with this partnership, which will enable users of the application to optimise their travel during the event in a precise and personalised way, making it more fluid and safer”, explains Gilles Dufeigneux, General Manager of the GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet.“We are excited to work hand in hand with the Formula 1 Grand Prix de France, a world-class French sporting event.
