Sanitary protocol – Formula 1 Grand Prix de France 2021

The safety and health of its spectators, partners, Formula 1 stakeholders and the media remains a priority for the GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet.

The GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet is closely monitoring the situation related to COVID-19 and is in permanent contact with the public authorities, motor sport governing bodies, Formula 1 and the Circuit Paul Ricard.

The GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet will comply with the health protocol linked to the COVID-19 pandemic set up by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) during the next French Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Health protocol – spectators

Due to the sanitary situation and in order to be able to accommodate spectators in a configuration consistent with current or future government measures, the capacity for the 2021 French Grand Prix is currently limited to 15,000 spectators per day, divided into three zones of 5,000 seats each.

The GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet will make every effort to ensure compliance with the barrier gestures and social distancing rules within each of the three zones and will adapt the management of spectator flow.

During the event the wearing of a mask will be compulsory at all times. Gel and hand sanitizers will be available to spectators and will be compulsory in various areas (entrances, catering areas, toilets, accesses to the stands and at the entrances to each area and event).

A zone will be created at the Medical Station for the immediate isolation of all people with symptoms. A brigade of volunteers will be set up to provide information and raise awareness about the correct use of masks, ensure that barrier gestures are respected and check that hand sanitizers are operational and supplied.

The GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet will appoint a COVID referent within its organisation.

Sanitary protocol – staff

Persons working at the 2021 French Grand Prix will have to produce a negative PCR test before the start of their assignment. A second test must be produced for staff carrying out long missions.

The GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet will make every effort to ensure that barrier gestures are respected, that exchanges of equipment are limited and that the rules of social distancing at the various work stations are respected.

Gel and hand sanitizing solutions will be available to staff and will be compulsory in various areas (vehicles, offices, access points to the site at the most exposed posts).

Supervision

As the situation related to the spread of COVID-19 is evolving, the various actions carried out by the GIP Grand Prix de France – Le Castellet will be regularly updated according to government announcements.
